Submit

The first historic solicit via Twitter... the rules have stayed pretty much the same.

The Harvard Food Review takes submissions in the following form:

* Finished pieces should be attached as Microsoft Word documents in an email to harvardfoodreview[at]gmail.com.
* Pitches should be emailed to harvardfoodreview[at]gmail.com.

We are looking for:

* personal essays
* well-researched nonfiction
* profiles and interviews
* short stories
* recipes
* art, including photos
* mystery option... surprise us!

This can be stuff like:

* why your grandma only eats kimchi in the morning
* an interview with Jeremy Allen White from The Bear
* the time you consumed your first popsicle
* what a political candidate eats in a day
* etc

We are bored by:

* extremely fluffy fluff pieces
* confusing stories that should be left for your therapist
* plagiarism
* gender-coded language
* racist takes on cultural food

Sadly and delectably, restaurant review content is reserved exclusively for our Staff Writers on assignment.
To join our permanent staff, please send us an email for more information.

Each issue will be accessible as a PDF on our website and will be printed and distributed across Harvard’s campus.
Pieces are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you are very much welcome to submit earlier.
(Our editors will bake you virtual chocolate soufflé if you submit earlier than later.)

Please expect a response within 7 days. Otherwise, feel free to bump us. We look forward to reading your submissions. If you have questions, please contact us at harvardfoodreview[a]gmail.com.
